When is the best time to visit?
The sites tend to open mid July with flowers at their best early August and tending to bloom until somewhere around mid/third week of August.
It’s best to check the Facebook page of the site you’re planning to visit for daily updates.

Sunflower Fields to Visit this Summer in South Wales
Rhossili Sunflowers
Where? Rhossili, Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom SA3 1PN.
When? Opening 16th July 2022 from 10am until 9pm.
How much? £3 entry per person. Plus PYO Sunflowers £1.50 per stem.
What else should I know? You have to park in the National Trust carpark and walk to the fields (10-15 min walk through fields so please bear this in mind for prams and wheelchair users). There is a cafe on site which closes at 7pm. They have a sunflower arch and swing which makes for fab pictures, as well as the fields themselves. There are no toilets at the field itself but there are public toilets by the car park. This year they also have a lavender field which you can read more about here.

Pencoed Fach Farm
Where? Heol Y Cefn, Bedwellty Rd, Blackwood NP12 0BQ.
When? Opening 6th August 2022 from 10am until last entry at 4pm.
How much? Entry is free, but you do need to book online.
What else should I know? Lots of other activities including tractor trailer rides, face paints, animals to see. There are toilets on site.

Clearwell Farm
Where? Michaelston-y-Fedw, Cardiff CF3 6XT.
When? Opening 3rd August 2022 until 4th September. Tuesday-Sunday 10am-5pm (closed Mondays).
How much? £6 per person or a family of 4 for £20. Under 3s go free. Book in advance.
What else should I know? A sunflower field with a difference as this one is a maze! Lots of other activities going on onsite with different themed days throughout the opening season. Check out their Facebook page to see the full calendar of events. You can stay as long as you like but you must pre-book. You’re welcome to take your own picnic.

Pembrokeshire Sunflowers
Where? Trefaes Ganol, SA43 3PF.
When? Opening 31st July 2022 from 10.30am to 6.30pm.
How much? £7 per car. No booking required.
What else should I know? PYO Sunflowers are £1 per stem (bring your own secateurs). There is a play area on site and you are welcome to take picnics. Dog friendly but must be kept on a lead. There is also Disc Golf which needs to be pre-booked.

Ty Poeth Farm
Where? Ty Poeth Farm, New Inn, Llanvihangel NP4 8QU
When? Opening 3rd August until 4th September.
How much? £6 per adult

Pick your own sunflower for just £1. Book online here.
What else should I know? Parking: Available at the Farm (starting point) and the Horse & Jockey (for easy access). Attire: Long trousers and trainers/wellies are to be worn to protect feet and legs. Well behaved dogs on leads are more than welcome to come along, and the route is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. All bookings purchased for this event will qualify for ONE FREE CHILD TICKET for the upcoming pumpkin field event in October at Ty Poeth Farm.
